Fume hood
Fume hood is the most commonly used local exhaust equipment in the laboratory, with a wide variety of types. Due to its different structure and different conditions of use, its exhaust effect is not the same. The good performance of the fume hood mainly depends on the speed of air movement through the fume hood.
Classification
1.Fume hoods according to exhaust mode:
upper exhaust type, lower exhaust type and upper and lower exhaust type.
The lower exhaust type is used for the cold process to ensure uniform wind in the working area,
The upper exhaust type used for the hot process.
The upper and lower exhaust vents for the process of unstable heat generation,can be set up to adjust the proportion of upper and lower exhaust air volume with the change of heat generation in the cabinet, so as to obtain uniform wind.
2.Fume hoods are classified according to air intake mode:
Full exhaust fume hood: Through the indoor air intake in the cabinet circulation outside called full exhaust type, which is a very widely used type.
Supplementary air fume hood: When the fume hood is set in the heating or temperature and humidity control requirements of the room, in order to save heating and air conditioning energy consumption, the supply air from the outside is recycled in the cabinet and then out of the outdoor way called supplementary air fume hood.
Variable air volume fume hood: The ordinary constant air volume system needs to manually adjust the air valve with fixed blades to adjust the exhaust air volume of the fume hood, and achieve the desired wind speed when the valve to a certain Angle. Variable air volume control is to change the air volume to reach the given surface wind by adjusting the sensor of the valve, of course, the standard type is low in cost, the variable air volume is high in cost, and is suitable for occasions requiring high precision.
